  • Lead on logistical transition of the BBG Secretariat from the British High Commission to the new interim office as per registration of the Trust.
  • Be key contact for the members; track relevant interactions and communications with members, intermediaries and non-member organisations and report on these as required.
  • Coordinate new membership and the annual membership renewal process. Work with Board of Trustees to actively increase the BBG membership base. Coordinate financial return with selected firm of auditors.
  • Plan and manage strategic events including forums, roundtables, breakfasts and dinners. Work with Board of Trustees to assess event objectives, budget and determine most cost-effective means to deliver results.
  • Build program content; identify speakers from fields of most relevance to the membership; lead on event set up, registration and attendance monitoring; review feedback and originate ways of improving events; work with members and non-members on sponsorship. Work closely with British High Commission on trade missions.
  • Support Board of Trustees on all matters relating to the policy and planning of the BBG and organise Board meetings. Coordinate opinion of the Board and membership on matters that affect UK businesses, disseminate to relevant bodies such as the EU-Bangladesh Business Council.
  • Work with professional website company to develop the existing BBG website into a modern, relevant and up to date site. Work with members to obtain exciting material for sharing and promoting
Education Requirement:
  • Post Graduate degree in marketing, business, or related field.


Additional Requirement:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in administration/marketing positions with preference to experience working in the chamber of commerce/association management industry. Prior experience in high profile event organising desirable.
  • Sound understanding of commercial concepts.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to develop effective working partnerships quickly
  • Organisational and administrative ability.
  • Time management and prioritisation.
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office.
